ATLANTA — The Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) are coming back for another season with the addition of two new cast members.
R&B and country singer K. Michelle and Slutty Vegan owner Pinky Cole-Hayes both revealed on their Instagram accounts that they would be the new peaches joining the cast this spring.
For K. Michelle, reality TV is nothing new. She’s been a part of VH1’s Love and Hip Hop series, including for Atlanta, and was considered the ‘clapback queen.’ However, she will be new to the Real Housewives franchise. “I just flipped the switch,” she wrote on Instagram. “I don’t know nobody else that’s doing this.”
Cole-Hayes’ plant-based million-dollar food business has dozens of locations across the country, with many in the metro Atlanta area. The vegan restaurant queen is not new to television, having worked as a TV producer in the past. Now the ‘serial entrepreneur’ is hopping on the other side of the camera to be front and center. Having dealt with some setbacks, including having to buy back her own restaurant brand, the author, community activist and brand strategist, is not new to drama. “They counted me out…Bravo counted me in,” she wrote on Instagram.
A snippet of season 17 of the RHOA is circulating on social media featuring both women speaking poorly about one of the other cast members.
Later, the video shows a confrontation between some of the cast members after more rumors spread, and K. Michelle is seen being held back by one of the women.
Season 5 of the RHOA is set to air on Sunday, April 5, at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
