SOUTH FULTON, Ga. — A boil water advisory issued over the weekend in South Fulton and Fairburn has been lifted, officials said Monday morning.
The Atlanta Department of Watershed Management (DWM) said testing showed “no contamination was detected in the public water system” following a power outage incident at a pump station.
The outage was reported at the Adamsville Pump Station and resulted in a “brief drop of pressure.”
An area around I-75 south of the airport had been impacted.
“The City’s drinking water meets or exceeds standards established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as required by the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act. Also, the Georgia Environmental Protection Division has been notified,” DWM said Monday.
DWM has issued a boil water advisory for the City of Fairburn and South Fulton due to a power outage at the Adamsville Pump Station. This boil water advisory is out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with Georgia EPD guidance for public notice.
