The Home Depot Backyard at Mercedes-Benz Stadium Hosts Inaugural Festival de la Cultura Latina

Where:               The Home Depot Backyard | 1 Backyard Way, Atlanta, GA 30313

Why:                   The Home Depot Backyard, located in the heart of Downtown Atlanta next door to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, will host its inaugural Festival de la Cultura Latina on Sept. 28, 2019. An estimated 5,000 guests will experience the city’s best Latin food, musicians, artists, and makers, all in one place. Guests can sample dishes from local chefs, shop at El Mercado and get a sneak peek of Frida, a fantastic musical piece performed by the Atlanta Opera. Join us for this free and open to the public event that will provide an authentic and sensory experience into the Latin community.

 

Activities to include:

• Merengue, Bachata, and Salsa dance performances on the lawn
• Music from Atlanta’s best Latin DJs and bands
• Authentic cooking demonstrations by local chefs
• DIY workshops and activities
• Marketplace featuring local vendors and artists
• Main stage performance of Frida, a theatre piece offered by The Atlanta Opera that combines pantomime, puppetry, movement, and vocal performances
