HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Hall County is getting ready for the winter storm that’s expected to hit parts of Georgia this afternoon.

Early in the morning on Saturday, sleet was seen falling for about 10 minutes ahead of the winter storm that is expected to hit.
In preparation, residents are flocking to grocery stores to purchase items to fill their cabinets and to the gas stations to fill up their vehicles.
Hall County officials said they have thirteen trucks, 200 tons of gravel and 6,000 gallons of brine, as well as tree removal equipment for the storm.
A warming center at the North Hall Community Center opened at noon, located at 4175 Nopone Road for those looking to escape the cold temperatures.
