WASHINGTON — Thousands of users are experiencing issues with their Facebook accounts on Tuesday afternoon.
More than 10,000 users reported issues with the social media platform on DownDetector, a website tracking outage reports. More than half of the reports were with the website, while others noted struggling with timeline and login issues.
Issues began around 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
Meta’s status help page said it was seeing high disruptions with its Facebook Ads Manager, but other services and products did not have any known issues.
Some users were seeing error messages saying “Account Temporarily Unavailable.”
“Your account is currently unavailable due to a site issue. We expect this to be resolved shortly. Please try again in a few minutes,” the message said.
