ATLANTA — Mariah Carey attended Easter services on Sunday at Ebenezer Baptist Church, led by Sen. Raphael Warnock.
A video of Carey was posted on the church’s social media accounts.
Sen. Warnock introduced her as the “bestselling female artist of all time,” noting her 200 million albums sold and 19 number-one singles.
He joked that her Christmas album is so popular that people listen to it even at Easter. He also highlighted that Ebenezer’s musical director, Daniel Moore, also serves as her musical director.
Sen. Warnock noted that she “sent word” that she was coming to worship, not to perform, which he said he admired.
“Good to see you, Mariah. God bless you. Good to see you in church,” Warnock said from the pulpit, as Carey blew him a kiss.
Carey previously owned a 12,600-square-foot, 9-bedroom mansion in Sandy Springs, which was listed for sale in 2025.
She has frequently performed in Atlanta, including a November 2024 holiday show at State Farm Arena and a 2019 tour stop at the Fox Theatre.
