Shelby Blackstock and his wife Marissa are expecting their first child, Reba McEntire’s first biological grandchild.
WASHINGTON — Shelby Blackstock, the former NASCAR and drag race driver and son to country icon Reba McEntire, is expecting his first child.
He and his wife Marissa announced the news Tuesday on social media.
“Oh, BOY! We’re beyond excited to FINALLY announce our little man is coming in October. See ya real soon, pal! Mommy + Daddy love you!” the couple wrote on Instagram alongside a collage of photos from their trip to Disney World in Florida.
Among the photos was a onesie a Mickey Mouse in blue pajamas with “Blackstock, October 2026” embroidered in blue lettering.
This is the duo’s first child. They married in 2022, where their wedding was held at Disney.
Earlier this year, Marissa announced she was starting her second round of IVF and thanked her followers for supporting her through the treatments, which she said were “four years in the making.”
This child would also be McEntire’s first biological grandchild. She is the grandmother to Kelly Clarkson and late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, who was her ex step-son. The couple have two children, 12-year-old River and 10-year-old Remington “Remy,” who consider McEntire their grandmother.
