New caramel protein lattes and Dubai chocolate drinks have arrived on the menu.

WASHINGTON — Starbucks is kicking off the new year with an expanded winter menu that emphasizes wellness-focused options alongside returning fan favorites, with new items officially rolling out to U.S. stores on Jan. 6, 2026.

The updated menu includes several additions first announced late last year, now available nationwide, as the coffee giant leans further into functional drinks and customizable offerings.

The headline addition for 2026 is a new protein-forward beverage line featuring the Caramel Protein Matcha and Caramel Protein Latte, marking the company’s latest foray into functional drinks that appeal to health-conscious consumers. The coffee chain introduced vanilla-flavored protein drink options to the menu earlier this fall. 

Starbucks will also introduce a sugar-free caramel syrup as a permanent menu fixture, giving customers more flexibility in customizing their orders year-round.

Social media-inspired flavors

In a move that underscores the growing influence of customer creativity on social platforms, Starbucks is debuting two drinks inspired by viral online recipes: the Iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha and Iced Dubai Chocolate Mocha. The “Dubai chocolate” trend has swept across TikTok and Instagram and the coffee chain is capitalizing on customer-driven innovation.

The winter menu also sees the return of pistachio-flavored beverages, which have developed a loyal following since their introduction. The Pistachio Latte and Pistachio Cream Cold Brew will be joined by a new Pistachio Cortado, offering a more concentrated espresso experience for pistachio enthusiasts.

Food gets an upgrade

On the food side, Starbucks is introducing Truffle, Mushroom & Brie Egg Bites as a limited-time breakfast option. The company is also reformulating its year-round Turkey Bacon, Cheddar & Egg White Sandwich with cherrywood-smoked turkey bacon and sharper white cheddar cheese.

Rounding out the seasonal offerings, the Valentine Cake Pop returns to stores.

New collectors merch

Starbucks is also rolling out new seasonal drinkware collections with the winter menu. The limited-edition merchandise includes tumblers, cold cups and mugs designed around winter themes, including Lunar New Year, Valentine’s Day and everyday coffee rituals.

The collections are available at participating U.S. Starbucks locations beginning Jan. 6, while supplies last.
