The sound it makes is also very appealing to the ear. There’s not just some little ball rolling around inside that jingles, it requires an intentional shake to make it ring. My favorite gift ever!
Not real etching Itâs okay. The earlier reviews about the â2017â imprint being an application vs actual engraving is correct. I was hoping it was black ink filled into an engraving, but no. Itâs pretty enough and if youâre just looking at it as an ornament on the tree youâre likely to say it looks fine even though itâs not engraved.
Could be nicer. Year is not engraved but is printed in black on the bell. Compared to brands like Reed & Barton, Lenox, or Wallace Silversmiths, these bells are very lightweight. They’re not bad, just not very high quality.
