WAY too BIG Way, way, WAY too BIG to use on a backpack. This thing is huge. It works great if you camping or rock climbing, but for a purse of backpack it is way overkill. I don’t want a giant hunk of metal hanging off my backpack. This thing is the size of my hand (I’m 6′ 1″). If it were half the size, it would be perfect.
Sweet Clip! Great product!I purchased this clip in hope of being able to easily hang my backpack on a chair, table, or tree branch without the restrictions that come with a normal carabiner. The Hero clip lived up to that hope. I get many compliments on it and recommend the Hero clip to others. This weekend it came in handy in a way I didn’t foresee prior to purchasing. This weekend I rode a motorcycle that had a net on it to secure small items, though my backpack would not stay completely under the net due to the opening of the net being too large, so I used the Hero clip to attach the net to the backpack using the clip end and used the hook end to attach to the bike itself. This worked well and kept my backpack secure for the day ride.Thanks!
Possibly a defective one, but still disappointing. Let me start this out by saying that I own a few different hero clips. I absolutely love them and they make life so much easier. every other one that I own would 100% get five stars and have gotten five stars from me. but from the moment I open the box this one has been nothing but a disappointment. When I first got it I noticed that the edges were sharp, and the pivots were incredibly loose. I thought to myself that’s fine whatever things happen so as you can see from the picture where the silver outline is was for me trying to file down and round them out myself. After that I thought it was problem solved. but now after only about two months of owning it as pictured the pivot that was loosest at first has completely fallen off. This is been used less than all of my other ones and I have no explanation for this outcome. maybe this was just a defective one but nonetheless $20 not well spent. I don’t discourage hero clips but I do discourage you from buying this particular one.
