Is this the same thing as retinol?
Both retinol and Adapinoid are dervived from vitamin A and work in similar ways—because of that, there’s no need to double up! Using them together could actually irritate your skin.
Is it safe to use Adapinoid Gel in the morning?
Yes, but always follow up with your favorite sunscreen, especially during the day. Retinoid products can make your skin more sensitive to UV rays.
Can I use Adapinoid Gel around my eyes?
Yes, but avoid direct contact with the eyes! If the product accidentally comes into contact with your eyes, please rinse thoroughly with water.
Is it safe to use every day?
Yes, but we recommend easing into it, especially if you’ve never used a retinoid before. Start every other night and as your skin gets used to it, you can use it nightly!
Is this safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
We haven’t tested it on people who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and since some doctors suggest easing up on retinoids during that time, it’s always a good idea to check in with your doctor first!
