Great product, expensive shipping This is a fantastic brown sugar replacement. Previously we have used stevia and erithyritol as a sugar replacement, but they are difficult to replace brown sugar with and have issues regarding taste and cooling effect. This product does not have those issues however, and I can highly recommend it if you’re looking to cut carbs and calories in your life. So far we have only used it for cooking, not baking however.Unfortunately I am dinging a star due to its shipping price. I really wish they’d ship some to Amazon so I can use my prime shipping for it. The $12 price for the product itself is very reasonable but $6.99 for shipping is, well. ridiculous in my opinion.

Great but so expensive. I love sukrin, it is by far the best sweetener I’ve tried (compared to monkfruit, truvia, liquid stevia, and all other basic types like saccharine, etc). Sukrin doesn’t have a bitter aftertaste at all, which is unlike any other sweetener I’ve tried. This type is really as soft as brown sugar and it caramelizes on top of foods like sugar too. I’ve used it to cook and bake, sweeten cold and hot drinks, and to make raw cookie dough. The only downside is the price. This product is not made in the USA, which makes the price is exorbitantly high compared to other sweeteners, so I had to stop buying it.

Surkin Gold behaves, but does not taste, like brown sugar My order came on time, was packaged appropriately and was exactly as described.Surkin gold looks like, and behaves like brown sugar in all of the recipes I have used it in. The texture is that of brown sugar, lightly moist, and sticks together. It even caramelized. It replaces brown sugar cup for cup.So..why 3 stars? Surkin gold is a perfectly palatable sugar replacement, but its not exceptional. At it’s price point I expect more. It doesn’t have the earthy goodness that comes from brown sugar. It’s just sweet, end of story. No complexity.I am going back to my preferred brown sugar substitute. I add 1 tsp of molasses to erytheratol and mix thoroughly. Yes, this adds a small amount of carbs, but it’s a trivial amount when spread over the course if 12 cookies.
