  1. Control knob broke during shipping. I have lots of experience with the Traeger. I love the way they barbeque and smoke the food, always a reliable degree of heat, and the meat comes out moist. I cannot recommend the Traeger enough.My new one, however, came with the main control knob broken off during shipping. I called Traeger, and they sent me an entire new control unit – for free! Very nice of them. Not too difficult to install, just keep track of which colored wire plugs into which. Works great!

  2. Great Grill/Smoker I’ve been wanting a Treager for several years, but couldn’t really justify spending $700 – $800 for one. One day I thought of checking on AMAZON for a Treager, and I stumbled on the Renegade Pro. This grill is perfect for the needs of a small family and it’s a great price for what you get. While it’s technically a 20″ grill, it has the same diameter barrel as the larger 22″ models so you can cook a turkey or other things that require some height.   3. NOT WORTH THE MONEY After debating for months I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. We were charcoal grill people and this was supposed to be easier, not true. The grill cannot hold it’s temperature, the pellets get stuck in the hopper, and worst of all the meat seems to be poached instead of grilled, It’s always mushy.
