ATLANTA, GA– JULY 18, 2019 – Summer’s hottest night, Univision’s “Premios Juventud” (Youth Awards) just aired a four-hour live celebration of music and current trends in pop culture, digital media, fashion, TV and social media on the most bilingual show in its history. The 16^th edition of “Premios Juventud” featured a record number of today’s most popular and emerging artists performing for the first time on this stage.

Hosted by Alejandra Espinoza, Lali and CNCO, the award show received over 1.5 million audience votes to decide tonight’s winners among 160 nominees in 24 brand new categories. The biggest winners of the night were Anuel AA and Bad Bunny, who took home three awards each, followed by Cardi B, Daddy Yankee, Karol G and Maluma with two apiece.

On a mission to inspire, motivate and lead change, “Premios Juventud” awarded “Agent of Change” recognitions for the first time to musical artists who are actively involved in the community and support organizations that bring hope and provide better opportunities to future generations. Maluma and Jesse & Joy were the first artists to receive this recognition for empowering young people to achieve their dreams and for their work protecting the environment and defending animal rights, respectively. Two young Latinos, Alondra Toledo and Carlos Osuna, were also honored with the prestigious trophy for their leadership and positive contributions to the community.

“This year’s ‘Premios Juventud’ featured the very best in Latin music and pop culture showcasing performances from global superstars, while providing a platform for young emerging artists,” said Ignacio Meyer, senior vice president for Entertainment and Music at Univision. “The show aims to entertain and empower new generations and through the ‘Agent of Change’ award, motivate them to leave their mark in the world and achieve positive change in society.”

“Premios Juventud” 2019 featured exclusive collaborations, worldwide premieres, exhilarating remixes and musical debuts. The live award show kicked off with the “PJ Takeover,” hosted by Borja Voces, Clarissa Molina, Jomari Goyso. Performances included:
