ATLANTA — An injured pigeon was transported by an Uber ride this week after crash-landing on a homeowner’s patio, according to a local wildlife group.
Georgia Wildlife Association said the bird needed medical attention, but the homeowner who found it was unable to make the trip to Decatur for care.
Instead, the homeowner arranged for an Uber to transport the pigeon to the organization.
Officials with the group said they have used ride-share services before to help move injured wildlife when necessary, but they always confirm with drivers in advance.
They noted that not every driver is willing to take on an unusual passenger like a pigeon.
