HIRAM, Ga. — A senior at Hiram High School is the winner of a prestigious scholarship.
Oluwadamilare Ezra Lawal is one of the recipients of the John M. Belk Scholarship at Davidson College, according to a post from the Paulding County School District.
Ezra and his family were flown to North Carolina to join a small group of finalists from across the globe for several days of interviews and events. Just eight students were selected for the award.
The scholarship covers four years of tuition, housing, meals, and fees, plus a stipend, totaling more than $400,000, according to the school district.
