The hospitalization comes on the same day of his latest album release “Konnakol.”

WASHINGTON — Singer Zayn Malik shared he is recovering following a hospitalization this week.

Malik, who was a former member of One Direction, said that he was still “unexpectedly recovering” following a long week. Along with the health update, he shared a photo of himself in the hospital.

“To my fans – Thank you to all of you for your love & support now and always,” he said on Instagram Friday. “Been a long week and am still unexpectedly recovering.”

“Heartbroken that I can’t see you all this week, I wouldn’t be in the place I am today without you guys and am so thankful for your understanding,” he added.

Malik did not share the reason for his hospitalization but he thanked “Drs, nurses, cardiologist, management, admin and everyone who has helped along the way and continue to.” It’s unclear how long he spent in the hospital.

“You are all legends! Big Big love,” he said.

Some of his upcoming appearances in New York were also canceled following the health update.

“Given Zayn’s recent health update, this week’s in-store events at Looney Tunes, Rough Trade, Newbury Comics and The Sound Garden are canceled,” his team said on social media. ” If you purchased tickets, the stores will reach out directly regarding next steps.”

The 33-year-old singer’s hospitalization comes on the release day of his latest album, “Konnakol.”

He’s set to embark on his first-ever headline tour in the UK and in the U.S. next month.

The tour kicks off in Manchester on May 12 and wraps up Nov. 20 in Miami, Florida.
