Experience urban vibrancy as Atlanta Streets Alive turns Peachtree Street into a bustling car-free arts festival. Several roads will be closed during the event.
ATLANTA — The public is invited to join Atlanta Department of Transportation and Propel ATL for the second of seven free Atlanta Streets Alive community events planned for 2026.
Atlanta Streets Alive is a temporary, car-free event, highlighting Atlanta’s vibrant urban core and supports local businesses in midtown, downtown, and other major corridors throughout the city.
As part of this event, Peachtree Street will transform into an open-air arts festival. Enjoy “Alive on the Square” at Colony Square, shop 40+ local vendors at the Georgia Vintage Goods Market, and stop by the Margaret Mitchell House for crafts and tours.
The celebration stretches all the way to Underground Atlanta with live music and a skating experience.
The event runs from 2 pm through 6 pm.
Traffic Impacts
The Atlanta Department of Transportation will close a portion of Peachtree Street to vehicular traffic Sunday afternoon.
Peachtree Street from Alabama Street SW to 15th Street NE will closed from 12 pm to 7 pm.
A total of seven intersections will be totally closed with barricades throughout the event. The following intersections will be intermittently open to vehicular traffic with the assistance of traffic control personnel:
- 15th Street NE
- 10th Street NE
- Ponce De Leon Avenue NE
- North Avenue NE
- Pine Street NE
- Ralph McGill Boulevard NE
- Baker Street NW
- John Portman Boulevard NW
- Edgewood Avenue NE
