Dunkin’ giving away 1 million free coffees again: How to get yours

WASHINGTON — After giving away 1 million free coffees on April Fools’ Day, Dunkin’ is giving away another 1 million free coffees on Tuesday. 

The coffee and doughnut chain confirmed to multiple media outlets that there will be another one million coffees available through its app on Tuesday, April 21. 

Dunkin’ Rewards members can use promo code “FREECOFFEE1” in their app starting at 9 a.m. local time on April 21 to redeem the offer, while supplies last.

You’ll want to act fast to redeem the offer on Tuesday, but you don’t need to run out and get your free coffee right away. All you have to do is go to the offers page on the Dunkin’ app, scroll down to the “Add a Promo Code” section and submit “FREECOFFEE1.”

The company confirmed to multiple outlets that Dunkin’ Rewards members will then have seven days to redeem the coupon for their free coffee. 

As the offer went live Tuesday morning on the East Coast, some users reported issues with the app. Downdetector, which tracks outage reports, noted there were hundreds of users saying they were having trouble with the mobile app right around the time of the free coffee promotion. 

Dunkin’ began teasing the promotion on social media on Friday, April 17. The social media post feature a “notes” app with line items that included “make content for new spring menu next week” and hinted at the 1 million free coffee offer for Tuesday, April 21. The post also hinted at the potential return of the Oreo Coolatta. 

Just like the free coffee giveaway on April Fools’ Day, cold brew and extra large coffees are not included in the promotion. 

Last month, Dunkin’ launched its spring menu which features several banana-flavored drinks including the Banana Puddin’ Cloud Latte, Banana Daydream Refresher and Bananarama Matcha.
