Tim Tebow mourns his father’s passing, honoring Bob Tebow’s legacy of faith in an emotional post.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow announced the passing of his father in an emotional social media post.
“Heaven ushered in a hero of the faith last night as my Dad was welcomed home!” Tebow posted. “Many will say sorry for your loss but the truth is he’s not lost, we know exactly where he is.”
Bob Tebow had been battling Parkinson’s disease. Tim first announced the diagnosis during an interview in 2016.
Bob was a man of deep faith. In 1985, he and his wife, Pam, moved their family to the Philippines to share the Gospel with people there. He returned to the Philippines after his diagnosis to continue that work.
“I asked him last week what he looked forward to most about Heaven, and he simply said, ‘Jesus.'” Tim said in his post.
Bob is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren. He was 78 years old.
