Chemical Guys BUF_301_16 Polishing and Buffing Pad Conditioner (16 oz)

Protect your paint finish and your pads with Chemical Guys “Polishing/Buffing Pad Conditioner”. Machine polishing reduces friction and cuts your work time in half. While machine polishing, the pad appears to moves easier and produces better results once you break it in and use it for a few minutes. This is mainly because the pad is dense and new, and it will take several minutes for the glaze, wax or polish you are using to work into the foam or wool pad. Making sure that the pad has enough product in it is the key, because using a dry pad on a paint surface or any surface for that matter can do some serious harm to your surface. Using a pad that is dry on a surface without any lubricant or product is referred to as dry buffing and plain and simple, it can be a costly mistake. Friction from dry-buffing can lead to creating fine scratches and dullness or even burning the paint. Lube your pad before you use it.

Product Features

  • Allows your pads to become more receptive to polish by opening the foam’s pores, allowing then to better absorb and utilize the product
  • The light conditioning lubricants inside add extra surface protection by reducing dry friction while polishing
  • Works with lubricants in the products you are using and provides extra needed lubrication to protect against micro-marring and burning paint
  • Extend the life of your pads by reducing friction which will tear the foam
  • Used by professionals to save time and money

I was reordering the Clay Luber in a gallon and I thought why not pick this up as a Pad conditioner. Well they are the exact same product. So I have a gallon and 2 spray bottles and just wasted my money when I could of bought something else. Just be aware. Chemical Guys products work great though

  2. I’m a retiree and I don’t do a great amount of driving I’m a retiree and I don’t do a great amount of driving. So, after watching the Junkman’s videos several times, I performed the five-step wash, clay, polish, seal, and wax back in May 2016. Now, I’ll admit that I’ve never detailed a car before, so I’m not a pro by any stretch of the imagination. But, the one thing I do have is time. Time to take it slow and do it right. After using Chemical Guys Pad Cleaner, you would not be able to tell the difference between a cleaned pad or a new one. To keep…

  3. Must-have for DA Polishing This product is a must-have for polishing/compounding. As I gain more experience and as mistakes were made, I now appreciate the concept of priming the pad. Water does not work as a primer. It might seem like it does but all its really doing is diluting your compound for very minimal increases lubrication. To do an average sized sedan, you should use maybe 1/8th or less of the bottle in 80 degree heat, low humidity. The greatest part is that it somehow removes residual…
