Fresh Roasted Coffee, Organic Colombian Sierra Nevada Coffee

Cupping Notes: Creamy, Milk Chocolate, Almond

Our fair trade and organic Colombian Sierra Nevada coffee has a silky smooth body with notes of almond and chocolate, and a hint of citrus at the finish.

The co-ops that produce coffee from the Sierra Nevada produce some of the most pristine and sought after Colombian coffee in the country and the USDA Organic and Fair Trade Certifications also ensure that this Colombian coffee was grown, harvested and bought with the utmost care and responsibility.

Fresh Roasted Coffee is Coffee for Everybody

The Fresh Roasted Coffee process begins at the source. We chose our coffees carefully and with consideration of origin, flavor profile, and quality. Our goal is to deliver exceptional coffee that is approachable by everyone from the casual coffee drinker to the connoisseur.

To make sure that our children are able to enjoy coffee as much as we are, we’ve reduced our carbon footprint through environmentally-friendly roasting techniques and equipment and we produce only recyclable/compostable coffee pods.

Coffee Storage

Coffee has four age old enemies; heat, light, air and moisture. Storing coffee in conditions that expose it to these elements will allow for the coffee to lose its flavor rapidly.

Fresh Roasted Coffee should be stored in an airtight container. We suggest either an opaque glass, metal or ceramic version. Coffee should kept cool but should never be stored in the refrigerator or freezer, contrary to popular belief. Coffee beans are porous and can also absorb moisture and unwanted flavors.

What Is In My Coffee?

100% roasted Arabica coffee beans, no additives, no artificial flavors, no preservatives.

Very Smooth, Medium Body, Low Acid Very easy to drink, mild and low acid. The flavor is good and well-rounded, but not as full-bodied as I had hoped. Using the pour-over method, I don’t use the full 12oz of water for 4 tbs of the grinds…to make it a little stronger.I got interested in Sierra Nevada Colombian coffee from the Juan Valdez regional offering, which is intensely dark chocolate and low acid. This doesn’t have the same depth, but is better than Starbucks Colombian beans, which are from Narino and too…

It’s not mind-bogglingy fantastic but it’s a great daily brew I won’t hornswoggle you with “hints of cherry and cocoa undertones” or “grown under broad-sweeping banyans at nosebleed altitudes”; this is just a good-smelling, good-tasting, fresh cuppa. Just a shade lighter than what I’d call a full city roast, and it works perfectly for these beans. It’s not mind-bogglingy fantastic but it’s a great daily brew.

You won’t go wrong with any of the medium roast full body coffees…so try them all. It’s like trying new wines. I have purchased all of the medium roast full bodied coffees from this company and they are the best coffees available, by far.The Columbian is not by favorite because it does not have as unique a flavor as some of the others, perhaps because most of the coffee you buy at the grocery store is Columbian in origin? At any rate, all of these coffees suit my medium roast preference ( I can’t stand the hardness of Starbucks) and still have a nice strong brew, none of that weak stuff for me!
