Lots of flexibility in design makes this a great camera cage for my needs I really like this camera cage. It gives me lots of mount locations for microphones, lights, and monitor. It has wide enough clearance that I can comfortably fit several devices at once on it, and the hand grips on the sides are ergonomically designed to fit my hands reducing fatigue while shooting. I also like that there are multiple tapped holes on the bottom. This has allowed me to add a cheap metal plate as a foot to stabilize my rig when I set it down. For the price, a very useful and helpful purchase for my needs.
Better quality, and cheaper than DIY! I first tried a DIY project to replicate the “steering wheel” hands-off rig with mixed results but between the materials and tools I spent well over $50 to put it together and it didn’t compare to this less-expensive camera rig.I’m very happy with this rig – I use mine with a canon M5 plus 35mm 1.4 lens and a separate arm purchase to hold my microphone and video monitor.This is a great starter-rig/cage for anyone who wants one but isn’t a pro level videographer.
