ANTHONY “THE SHARK” AVILA (USA) DEFEATS PABLO “EL GALLO NEGRO” SABORI (MEXICO)

ATLANTA, GA – Combate Americas hosted its much-anticipated “Mexico vs. USA” live Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event Friday night at Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif.

In the night’s main event, 30-year-old Anthony “The Shark” Avila defeated Mexico’s Pablo “El Gallo Negro” Sabori after a war of three full rounds. For the co-main event, Zoila “The Warrior Princess” Frausto defeated Jaimee “Queenie” Nievera via TKO at 1:52 of Round 1, while Daniel “D-Rod” Rodriguez defeated Iván “Choko” Castillo via KO at 2:31 of Round 2.

In the undercard, bantamweight Hector Fajardo defeated José Avalos via Submission (Triangle-Armbar) at 2:04 of Round 2, featherweight Steven Bolinger defeated Emilio Horta via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 30-26), lightweight Adrian Guzman won by KO 19 seconds into Round 2 against Ryan Reneau, while middleweight Marcus Gaines defeated Ozzie Alvarez by decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26).

All the fights aired live on television in the U.S. on both Univision and UDN and was streamed live on DAZN.
